Ham radio page of DL7VEA

Ham radio is an activity which allows one to make radio contacts around the globe. We use different kinds of communication to achieve that: radiotelephony, Morse code, modern digital methods, moved pictures etc.

More information you may find on the pages of the German Amateur Radio Club - DARC. I'll add more information in the future here too.

The picture beside shows my so called QSL card. We use this to confirm each other the proceed radio connection. You see me in action ;-)), the antenna installation. Click on the pictures: You get bigger ones.

DL7VEA is the call sign I'n "on the air" with. Every "ham" has a world wide unique call sign.

One of my main interest is the usage of computers in ham radio. There is a lot of ham radio software running on LinuX. More then that: the ideas of LinuX and ham radio are very closed to each other. Hence, LinuX is the operating system for me.
